It's been A While...

Well Sisters, its been a while....Momma started back to work and since then lesson planning and time to study my Bible have taken top spot over blogging. But, it is the New Year and time to get back on track.

Note to Mady:
Madyson, you serve the Lord and give Him your all and I pray this continues until we are called to heaven. I have to share with you a moment that I realized how in tune with the Holy Spirit you are and how you really get an idea that most adults have yet to understand: It was late on December 21st, 2011. You, Mika, and I were having the most precious conversation.  We were discussing heaven and why we were created. You said you wanted to be a teacher and start each day with a Bible lesson.  I prompted you to teach at a Christian school and you said why not teach at Guy. My explanation that public school teachers had rules they must follow that limit/prohibit them from sharing their faith upset you terribly.  You burst into tears and said, "Why would they make those rules, we are ONLY here to worship our God, it's not about school or trees or the sky, we don't even need jobs if they are not about Jesus...I don't even want money if it's not by Jesus...Momma, why would they not let you teach the kids about the reason they are here on Earth?"    Is that not amazing; you as a seven year old know that we have one purpose: to fellowship with our God and nothing else really matters....I am so proud to be your Momma and I adore and love you to forever...

Note to Mika:
Mika, you are absolutely hilarious and seriously love pre-school. You have received all greens so far minus 3 yellows and 1 red over 18 weeks. I'd say that is a pretty good record;) You cry when you get a yellow or a red because you know that means a spanking. I giggle at your seriousness as you reveal who got greens, yellows, and reds and I make sure to explain "we aren't to worry about other's behavior, we want Mika to show others the Lord." The same night that Mady was sharing about our purpose (Dec 21st, 11) you felt it necessary to share an insight too: You exclaimed, "There are good angels and there are bad angels all around us and that they are fighting, we need to listen to good angels and make right choices so that we win with the good angels."  Isn't that a good way to think about life, the choices we make are helping the angels win or causing damage in their battle! These conversations with you make me thankful that you were placed in my care...You are amazingly fun and Momma loves you to forever...

Now for Some Funny/Sweet Things You've Said Lately:

Listening to my Mady Elyse make up a song while playing her guitar... Some of the lyrics were, "I'm so thankful, I'm so thankful...what could be prettier than God's creation, I'm so thankful." Music to my heart and the heavenly hosts:)

Soap opera Mika: take 1: stern talking to after refusal to clean room: Mika cries helplessly, "momma, No one understands me, God put me here for you, this is not about you-it's about me, huuhh this is not the truth, you and daddy don't understand me, only Mamaw and Papaw do..." wipe tears away slowly:) I asked where she saw this and she said this is just me Mom, with sniffles. Remember she is only 3... 16?!?

After getting told she was going to get a spanking, Mika said, "Mom, can I pray about it.... Dear Heavenly Father, I'm sorry I listened to the devil, I know my Momma is fixin to spank me and I really don't want her to, I have a black heart right now and I just want it to be red again, Father-Amen". I love that child:)

Mady is singing her 1st ever solo tonight in a school play called Down Home in the Arkansas! I'm so excited for her even if it is just one verse, that takes courage!! Go Mady! Teary-eyed momma, I will be when they sing AR You Run Deep in Me:')

Just went on bike ride and when we got inside Mika said, "Oh Mom, I just cannot breathe without some goldfish in my mouth." :)

As we were getting geared up with elbowpads and kneepads for a bike ride, Mady looked and said with sincerity, "mom, Santa did not bring these, the tag says they were made in China and there are no elves in China....

30 sec left in the game, panthers 2 Clinton 2, Mady's up to bat with 2 outs, bases loaded, wait for it...shazaaam! Go Mady! Your hit won the game!!! Panthers 4, Clinton 2.

Good gracious... Mady and Mika just encountered two dogs "stuck" together... they are intrigued and ran to the backyard to get a look from behind the fence. I said, "come on girls, they are just attached at the back" and Mady said, "if they were attached, they wouldn't both have back legs." oh my word, how can I pry these kids away from this fence...
