2013: Mika Giggles: January 6
Mika certainly is my child. I get cracked up at how much her mannerisms mimic mine at her age. One I've recently giggled to myself about is how protective I was about my parent's marriage. I recall SEVERAL trips to Kroger, Wal-Mart, or wherever with just Mom and Steph. My mom is gorgeous and gentlemen would open the door for her, maybe she'd run into an old friend and chat momentarily. Well, if I felt the gentleman was enjoying my Mom too much, I'd politely interject, "Hey, what time is: DAD getting off work?" Or, "Mom, I think I just saw: DAD in this store! " Or, "Whoa, Momma, your: WEDDING RING looks really shiny today!"Anyhow, Mika pulls the same thing. We can be at a drive-through window and she'll see me being friendly to the window-worker, she say loudly from the back-seat, "Mom: DAD gave you the money for this food, I'm so thankful for my DAD!" or "Hey Mom, you need to call DAD soon." lol! I usually get a lecture, sometimes with the window-worker present, that a woman should only be friendly to her husband. What has Chris been telling this kid?!
