My thoughts on abortion: March 2013
Let me ruffle a few feathers: 1st, at the ripe old age of 28, I have seriously gone off the weirdo deep-end! I am not in support of this law because of a religious or political stance. I support this law because I am against using unwarranted force on humans, period, no matter their gestational age. This ranges from ear-piercing of a baby (my mistake: lesson learned-will not repeat), to circumsion of a future son (I refuse!), to war, to forcing green beans down my child, to forcing school lessons on a day we all want to be at the creek, all the way to abortion. I absolutely 100% do not believe a woman has a right to force her own will on a human, even if its growing inside her. Simply put, her rights do not supercede the embryo's right to live. This my friends is about rights. Whether you believe in some form of God or not, whether you are pro-life or pro-choice, one thing is certain: humans have purpose and are meaningful for our moment on this earth. Our most innate and basic right is our right to be born and live, no matter what the circumstances are. This isn't about the embryo's future child-hood situations, this isn't about a woman and her future situations. This is about our first right, that all who are reading this have experienced: our right to exist.
