May 26, 2013: the mind-boggling Bible!!

This morning sitting on the porch drinking coffee it just hit me like a ton of bricks... I don't care what religion you are, I don't care if you are atheist, a deist, agnostic, or polytheistic. When you look at the richness of the BIBLE, you cannot deny that it is one very intricate and mind-boggling book. People, it took over 1050 year span of time to compile the stories, the stories are from different geographical regions, over 60 authors and get this: almost every story points to  a future Savior! How could all these different people from different places document these happenings that point to  a coming Christ that they know nothing about, one can only see it by looking back, they could not see what they were foreshadowing!!!!  I'm talking from the start: you have Abraham and the call to sacrifice his son, Isaac (God was simply seeing  if this bloodline would trust God's voice enough to bring forth a savior  in future years) Who else do we know who willingly offers His son? We see Isaac walk up a  mountain-side to be sacrificed-then Jesus walks up a mountain to be sacrificed. Looking at Noah and the flood, this is symbolic of baptism: all the evil is left in the water and what remains is a new creation. Then we see Moses leading God's people out of bondage, again-points to Christ-He will lead God's children out of our sin bondage as well. Whether you accept a literal interpretation of the Bible or only accept it as a metaphorical representation, even the story of Jonah points to Christ. Being in a whale's belly for 3 days then being spit back onto land so that he can fulfill God's plan--points to: you guessed: Christ being dead and buried for 3 days and then coming right back to earth to fulfill His purpose.  There are tons more instances from the Old Testament that we see people and circumstances give direct confirmation to God's plan of Christ as a Savior, you can research types and shadows and be AMAZED by what you see.  The layers of meaning in almost every Old Testament book is just astounding. Only a God could bring forth such a revelation over such a span of time and ensure that each message have one reoccurring underlying theme.
